Big Step in a Bigger Video and/or Film Career
I've had an idea since last Saturday to do some kind of teaching or mentoring thing with the Video Association of Dallas since I'm very close friends with Bart Weiss. I will also try to work on any shoots he is doing and I think he does a lot of demonstrations and lectures that I will try to work with him on as well. I also want to do my own presentations, demonstrations and lectures someday. I'm wanting to move on from freelance into trying to really be legitimate with video and film. I've been doing it since 1998 when I was a Junior at Bryan Adams High School. I'll do that and see if that can get me more exposure in the industry of video/film and see if I can earn money to get better video equipment to do my own films. My main goal is to actually do major films someday. I think this plan is a big step in that direction. My personal life is still stressful so I want to wait until things calm down for me to put this plan in motion. I've been thinking of this plan since last week actually but it's been in the back of my mind for years. I couldn't figure out how to describe it. I think I've deserved to be successful in this field and now I think I figured out a way to do it. I still have tons of old videos I shot during college that I haven't been able to capture yet that I want to upload to my https://www.youtube.com/@MrKARproductions3 YouTube channel that can also help push my idea forward. I plan to get my dear friend Gary Bauer and his wife Susan Bauer at Alpha Video Productions to help me get most of it put to DVD or any other digital format so I can upload them. I will call AMS Pictures (a company I interned at during early 2005) to help me some more. There are video tapes I have that Alpha Video and AMS can't capture so I'll ask AMS of a place I can get the other footage recorded off. I've also been wanting to try my hand in acting so this plan might be a big step in that direction. I want to thank Hillary Keys, Lin Hughes Gold, Rick Gold and my mom Susan Rogers for mentoring me and teaching me during my younger years. I also want to thank all the YouTube people I've watched through the years who inspired me to be even more film savvy than I already am.
